I love this movie. I love that it was written by seat-of-the-pants writers as they filmed it (waving to other SOTPs) and told Ingrid Bergman to act in love with both men, since they didn't know who she'd end up with.
I wonder if that movie could be written today since doing something for the bigger cause seems unheard of. There are still heroes out there. Speaking of which, did anyone see "Red Tails" this weekend? I'll go this week because I worked this weekend (and edits are finished, yay!) But I was reading People and it had all the Tuskegee Airmen in a picture and I cannot believe how many of these heroes are still alive! They're all in their late 80's to 90's and think about the statistics. That's a lot of men to have made it to that age. Maybe doing something bigger than yourself is good for your health?
There are 18 of them pictured. Considering the line of work they were in, I'd say that's pretty impressive.
