I introduced my mother to DSW yesterday. She was familiar with it only in that I bought her Merrells there. She wears them by the pool, so she knew the store by reputation, but had never wandered in its fabulosity until yesterday.
We'd gone there after our pedicures and I had borrowed my son's thongs to get a pedi, and they're Tevas and all worn in by him, so they are SO comfortable. My Tevas (which have a little heel) were never that comfortable.
I need walking shoes for Florida. Nancy and I are going on the history tour of St. Augustine by day and the ghost tour by night (no, I am not afraid of that stuff, why I have no idea.) So I'd need good shoes that I can walk in and STAY in at night. I went to DSW looking for Merrells and they didn't have any good ones.
I was shopping this morning on Zappos and I picked out two pairs. A nice muted neutral and these below. My mom said that she'd wear the neutrals, which was enough to get me to understand that the "SCARLET" version was for me. She whacked me on the back. Then she stood over my shoulder and told me how to remove the one out of my shopping cart.
"Really? Really mom? You're going to tell me how to shoe shop online?"
There are things I need help with: things like feeding myself and the four kids on deadline. Shoe shopping? I'm all good there. No ADD present.
