Yesterday, my mom and I were talking about the Kardashians on the way to town. I said I didn't really watch the show, but that Khloe was my favorite because she said whatever she thought. (I did watch the wedding of Kim and the show leading up to it where they went on vacation with Baby Huey, her husband-to-be.)
My mom says, "Everyone says that. That they don't watch the Kardashians."
I looked right at her and said, "Hey, I have NEVER been shy about my bad television taste. If I watched it, I would totally own up to it. I watch, "Celebrity Ghost Stories" it's not like I have high standards."
It was on last night. I don't think I watch anything on "E" and that might be the issue. I don't even know where that network is on my TV. I watched it last night though and I see why it's so appealing. Kourtney has commitment issues that she thinks not getting married (but having two kids with a man) will fix.
Kris was in trouble with Bruce because the man she had an affair with in her first marriage, came back into the picture. Kim's getting over her $10 million mistake and Kourtney's Scott struggles with his self-esteem so that he looks to others to fill him.
I see why the show is appealing. No matter how scripted it is, the family loves each other despite some pretty big character flaws. And that's what family does.
