I don't understand this garbage over Chik-Fil-A, whose sales records were blasted yesterday, when people went out in droves to support their right to believe as they do.
For people protesting the company's rights, they should understand that this is their right too. They can vote with their feet and not buy Chik-Fil-A, but the company does have a right to their opinions. What is happening to this country that we are so politically correct that we vilify a company for having their own set of values? They're not saying they won't hire someone who doesn't believe like they do. They're simply saying this is our belief.
You don't have to work there. You don't have to shop there. But you don't have the right to destroy a business because they don't believe like you. Don't think that's true? How about if the shoe is on the other foot and you're told you must shut your doors because you believe in gay marriage?
The thing about tolerance is that it has to go both ways. It's not like they're hiding their beliefs. Or that they want to bring harm on those who have different beliefs, they're simply exercising their right to freedom.
And for those college students who are trying to shut down their campus Chik-Fil-A's? Tread lightly, those might be the only jobs available when you get out of college in this economy.
