As I've said before, I'm not a fan of the mall. I used to work there and spend all hours of the night planning events when I worked in marketing. So I really am not a fan.
However, I remember the joy of being a mall rat in high school. (Actually having lunch with my fellow mall rat today!) I took my daughter and her friends to get matching T-shirts at Justice yesterday. They all had gift cards from their birthday.
My weakness at the mall is "Yankee Candle" -- and I know, they are SOOOO overpriced! I bought one for my "Scent of Rain" signing this weekend. (We're putting together a fabulous basket -- do come!! Berean San Jose 1 p.m.)
I also bought what has to be my favorite yet. Sweet Pumpkin Swirl. They had the CUTEST stuff for Halloween and it was as if I was drawn in without any power of my own.
Why? Why are we willing to spend so much money on a candle? Do you think Yankee puts something in them? Are they addictive? WHAT is it?
