This is my favorite guilty pleasure. Stars are such drama queens! Last night's had Jack Osbourne (son of Ozzy) telling about his haunted house in old England. Seriously, wouldn't you be MORE surprised if Ozzy Osbourne's ancient house WASN'T haunted?
It turns out their house was a rehabilitation hospital for officers during WWI and WWII. How cool is that? Ozzy lived at Downton Abbey. : )

i thought of you this morning because I saw this in the newspaper

LOL true enough. His Highness, The Prince of Darkness would fit right in with the Downton Abbey.

ACK!!! That is awful!! I hope she's going to live. There's no cure for that, so you just need an immune system that survives it. That show is disgusting.

I saw that. I would not want to enter one of those places. So many awful memories and I feel like, as a writer, I would feel that. It might make for a great story, but ewww creepy. I also have a really hard time with the mental institutions since my brother is handicapped.

Definitely creepy. I remember going to a church years ago, when I must have been about 8. It moved into an old school for a while, and every classroom still had school work books and activities everywhere. I never really understood why, it was like a ghost-town - we kids used to go sit in the classrooms and play with the games, use the sticker books, and make up stories as to where all the teachers and students disappeared to. Creepy. Sill don't know why it was like that.

But not as 'weird-feeling' as the institutions, obviously. I've been to a few places in Eastern Europe which are run down and abandoned, and the feeling is strange. Saw a photo essay once on Chernobyl, taken by a local many years after the disaster - now that was creepy.

Oh Chernobyl is the worst. I agree. Just the fact that you cant stay in the area for more than a certain length of time for safety reasons. Destination Truth went there. It was very creepy! The people who sacrificed their lives to try and shut things down and make it safer for others is such a beautiful story of human love.
