Yesterday, my iPhone rebooted and took with it all my apps and my contact list. Bubbye. That was painful. When someone texts me, I say, "Who is this?" And that's how you will be re-added to my contacts. I'm not sure why the iPhone backed up all the apps, but not the contacts, but there you have it. That was my electronic nightmare yesterday.
Today, my Kindle died. I'm hoping it will restart after a hard reset, but so far, I am bookless. I take that baby everywhere, and I seriously panicked. Moreso than with the iPhone. There's something about a writer losing all their books -- even though logically, you know you can get them all back. It's an emotional thing. MY BOOKS! Oh my, on a sidenote, my SON got a terrible grade on a Pride & Prejudice quiz. He missed the question, "Why did Elizabeth leave out pertinent information about Mr. Darcy in her letter to Jane."
I tell you. It's like a dagger in my heart. Have I not taught you? Listen, I know what a freakin' Mandalorian is -- there is NO excuse! Okay, back to the subject of me killing off electronics.
The good news is that I'm on deadline and none of my computers have gone down. So that's my silver lining.
