So you've probably noticed my blog is different. With the changes at Google with the RSS feeder, blogging is changing and becoming more difficult. So I'm not investing as much in the site and hence, the bland (read: clean) look. In fact, I prefer the clean look, but ultimately, there is a reason for it.
On a personal note, it's been an exciting year of transitions, but I'm ready to go back to work full time. Apparently, it's going to be writing novels again after a hefty sabbatical. Hopefully, that means I'm fresh and inspired!
Y'all rock for sticking with me through this year and I'm so appreciative of my readers. I told my kids yesterday that I'm so glad they got the math brain. Sometimes, writing feels like a curse because you can't NOT write, and yet, it's not the easiest way to make a living. There is no insurance. Characters dance about in your head when you want to be present for something else. But alas, it's the crazy gene God gave me.
Last night when we were watching "Silver Linings Playbook" my son said, "I feel sorry for their kids. I wonder what they'll be like."
My other son answered, "Look around. Here we are." Truer than I'd like it to be.
So going back to writing means getting back into business mode of doing proposals (oh my, forgot what that is like!) and writing on a regular schedule. The transitional year is over and it's time to get busy. Back to making my warped sense of humor work for me.
And I know it's harder to comment, so I'll try to fix that! Thanks for letting me know.
