Victoria on Masterpiece: History as it should be...

Are you watching the Oscars?

I'm not. I'm going to write. I really didn't like any of the movies last year. The exceptions being "Hidden Figures" and "Jackie." I'm livid that Taraji Henson wasn't nominated for "Hidden Figures" -- but Emma Stone was for La La Land. She's just herself. In a bad musical. Help me out here. I had to purge it from my system by watching "Funny Face."

Was it good enough for an Oscar? I don't know. There wasn't much to compare it to, to be honest. Definitely not worth sitting through the liberal sermons to find out. I went prom dress shopping yesterday, so I'm not even into the fashion this year.

This week I start back in on writing full-time, so I imagine I'll be blogging more as I take breaks. My daughter got her license Friday (perfect score) and so I imagine my world just opened up a bit.

So what movies did you enjoy last year? Susan Schaeffer asked this question on Facebook, and I thought it was a great one. What movie scarred you as a child?

For me, an INFP, it was a lot of them. The flying monkeys in "The Wizard of Oz" terrified me, but someone also took me to see "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" and I would have been nine. I still can't bring myself to watch it again.
